The St. Cuthberts Mill in Wells, England, has over 250 years of paper-making experience. They make Saunders Waterford® watercolor paper on a traditional cylinder mould. Natural woolen felts wrapped around the cylinder machine add a distinctive random texture to the 100% cotton paper. Because it’s internally and externally sized, the paper can withstand rough techniques like scrubbing and scraping. Each sheet is buffered with calcium carbonate to protect against acid discoloration.
