Description
Rublev Colours Transparent Yellow Felsite is a yellow iron oxide earth pigment from a natural mixture of minerals from the Lori deposits of Armenia. Yellow ocher is not a true mineral but a mixture of similar hydrated iron oxide minerals.

Origin and History
Known since antiquity, yellow ocher is from a natural mineral composing the pigment known as ocher (okhra in Greek). Ocher has been used as a pigment since prehistoric times and is perhaps the most widely used pigment for artists’ paints.
Particle Size
80-85% ranging from sub-0 to 15 microns; remainder ranging up to 30 microns (with only 0.1% at 30 microns).
Permanence and Compatibility
Yellow ocher is among the most permanent colors among the artists’ palette. It is compatible with all other pigments, and can be used with good results in all mediums.
Oil Absorption and Grinding
Information currently not available. This pigment is easy to grind in vegetable drying oils and water.
Toxicity
Yellow ocher is not considered toxic, but care should be used in handling the dry powder pigment to avoid inhaling the dust.
