Made with a 44% solution of Canada balsam in bodied linseed oil and spike oil, this unique formula is an excellent alternative to traditional glazing mediums, offering greater clarity and faster drying times than Venice turpentine. Canada balsam, sourced from North American balsam fir, creates a transparent, non-crystallizing film that preserves your artwork’s vibrancy over time. The addition of spike oil, a historic oil painting solvent, provides superior leveling and smooth application.
