An incredible canvas made from only the finest prepared linens. With a robust weight and 4 professional coats of priming over a rabbit skin glue sizing, the roll features a rich, smooth surface of unequaled beauty. Made in Italy, the preparation of the canvas is all done by hand in traditional Old World Fashion, but with modern equipment for continuity. The 4 primed coats are applied to a rabbit skin glue sealer (applied to washed, dried, picked and pumiced linen). When dry, two coats of acrylic gesso are applied to give the canvas elasticity and prevent sagging of the surface. Finally, two coats of fine professional oil primer are applied, creating a most receptive surface for oil colors.
