Description
Rublev Colours Quinacridone Magenta is a synthetic organic bright red pigment that makes bright tints and in mixtures makes beautiful transparent violets. It is an intense primary red with vibrant, intense tinting strength. Exceptionally lightfast, this is a true high performance pigment. According to some artists, quinacridone magenta is a substitute for less lightfast alizarin crimson, and is often called “Permanent Alizarin” by some companies.
An issue with many organic pigments is that typically they are not as lightfast, solvent and heat fast as inorganic pigments. However, quinacridone magenta has excellent fastness properties and high tinting strength.
