This piece is of Imani Scott Blackwell, a young mother, organizer, and awesome human,
whom I’ve come to be in community with. I asked her if she’d be willing to be the muse
in a series of paintings I wanted to create centered around her and her family. The
painting organizer and child was one of the first in the 11 piece series. It has been
displayed prominently in the Lyndon House Art Center and the Bob and Claire Clements
gallery in Athens, GA. and the Birthrite Art Center in New Orleans, LA. The original has
found a home with a new collector of my work.
