Gilders Tip Synthetic Squirrel Single Thick 3 Inch – The Natural Blue Squirrel Hair Gilder’s Tip Brushes are specialized flat brushes designed for the application of gold and metallic leaf. Handmade in Germany, the Squirrel Hair is securely mounted in a square-edged cardboard holder. For our Natural Guilder’s Tip Brushes, we use the sought-after winter coat of the Blue Squirrel’s tail which is highly prized for its length, superb tip, and elasticity. To use, pass the hair of the brush over the palm of your hand to create static electricity and then gently lift the leaf with the brush tip. Burnish the leaf down softly with a mop brush.
