I really enjoy painting fruit baskets, they remind me of the old theorem paintings. I was able to watch a lovely artist at old Sturbridge Village paint a theorem on cotton velvet using water colors and it was an exciting presentation, but I wanted my basket to be soft, old looking and crackled.
