With the Blick 999 Model II, you get many of the features of the new, larger Blick Master Etch Model II press—but at a budget-friendly price point!. This press is designed for the studio or classroom and makes prints up to 17″ wide × 35″ long. The 4-1/2″ diameter finely-machined solid upper roll may be raised to accommodate mounted linoleum up to 7/8″ thick. The total clearance without blanket is 1-1/4″. The machine is gear driven for easy pulling of etchings, dry points, collagraphs, linoleum block prints, engravings, and paper plate lithographs. With the calibrated pressure adjusters, you’ll be able to see exactly how much pressure is being applied.
Also included with this press is a 1/2″ thick phenolic bed plate, which is a lightweight, non-porous, non-compressible material that will not rust. It measures 19-5/8″ wide × 36″ long — 1-5/8″ wider than the original 999 press. A 1/4″ thick gray cushion blanket also comes with the press. The purchase of a catcher blanket and a pusher blanket is recommended.
The Blick 999 Model II Etching Press Stand measures 30″L x 21-1/2″W x 34-1/4″H and weighs 171 lb (78 kg).
