Charbonnel Etching Ink – Ultramarine Blue, 60ml Tube
Intaglio Etching Ink – Ultramarine Blue is a blue intaglio ink. It delivers a transparent blue with a hint of red. Unlike our other blues, Ultramarine’s pigment is a combination of aluminium and silicate. As an ink its covering and colouring powers are limited, however, it is compatible with all pigments.
Our blue intaglio inks are all made from phthalocyanine pigments, except for ultramarine and Prussian blue. Phthalocyanine pigments are transparent, highly coloured and very stable. The typical drying time for our blues is about 10 days, except for Orient Blue & Concentrated Blue which dry in around 20 days.
