XD Hot Cakes Wax Medium is a 50-50 blend of damar gum and USP Beeswax. This wax medium has a higher or extra (XD) content of Damar gum (misnamed as Damar Resin) then Enkaustikos Wax Medium, giving it a thicker consistency when liquified. It also has a sticky tack while drying for easy texture build-up and will stay pliable for longer than Wax Medium. Once cooled, XD Wax Medium is resistant to surface alterations and offers a glossy finish.
