This inorganic cobalt chromite blue pigment, which is Colour Index Generic Name (CIGN) Pigment Blue 36 (PB 36), is often incorrectly named “Cerulean blue” (Colour Index PB 35) in other oil paint lines. Cobalt chromite is a semi-transparent, fine-grained color with moderately high tinting strength.
