Pigments Included in the Basic Kit

The kit includes a natural pigment set of one ounce (29 ml) each of Green Earth, Umber, Vine Black, Yellow Ocher, Red Ocher, and Titanium White—all packaged in individual plastic jars. These pigments represent a basic set of hues used in historical painting before the nineteenth century. (The exception is titanium white which is a modern synthetic pigment of the twentieth century.)
