Claessens Unprimed Linen Canvas Roll is a professional-quality raw linen free of treatments, priming, and sizing. Made in Belgium from flax grown near the River Leie, a region made famous by the Flemish masters and where Claessens has always been based, the flax used to produce this untreated raw linen is of the very highest quality. All Claessens linens are carefully inspected for any weaving faults, and any unevenness or abnormally thick threads are scrupulously removed by hand.
