The linen canvas is made of the finest long-yarn linen fibers and hand-pumiced to create a uniform finish before being sized with 3 layers of PVA glue sizing. The canvas is sanded between coats of sizing to ensure ideal adhesion. One coat of archival, non-yellowing, non-absorbent oil primer is then applied. Oil colors sit on the surface and create luminous, refractive effects only seen on oil-primed linen.
