Equivalent to eight pencils, their generous size, precise corners, and square profile allow for broad, even coverage, bold smudges, and fine, expressive lines. Soft enough to break into pieces or grate into powder, blocks are also strong enough to hold comfortably in the hand. Apply to damp surfaces for intense color release and layering.
