Description
Authentic, high-quality art papers and boards From Japan
Yasutomo Premium Art Papers are made in the traditional paper districts of Japan. Artisans make the pulp-based Gasen and Torinko papers to be sturdy and resilient. Each sheet is lightly sized to capture the fine details in your artwork. Gasen and Torinoko sheets are perfect for ink painting, watercolor, Suminagashi (Japanese marbling), calligraphy, and block printing. The surface of Torinoko holds up to watercolor washes with minimal wrinkling.
Kozo art paper is made with 100% (unsized) Kozo fiber from the mulberry plant. Because of the long fibers, Kozo paper is solid and durable. You can use Kozo for Sumi-e, watercolor painting, conservation and repair, woodblock printing, and other printmaking techniques.
Asagami is a bleached acid-free, neutral sized art paper used for legal documents, watercolor, and gansai paintings. While Mashi is an unbleached, unsized paper used for calligraphy, ink painting, and watercolors.
